Crow Saves an Eagle

My good buddy, Dave Crow, recently took some time off from fishing to rescue an eagle from certain peril.

I’ve known Dave since “back in the day” when we used to paint the town. Sobriety wasn’t exactly our strong point.

When he isn’t out fishing or saving eagles, Dave is a great drywall craftsman who recently did some work for me in my home remodel. I highly recommend Dave to anyone who needs a good sheetrock job. He is of the best I’ve ever had do work for me and I don’t give those kind of compliments to everyone!

Keep Portland Weird

If you haven’t yet visited one of my newest links on the right hand side of this page, you gotta go over and pay a visit to Alligators In The Sewer.

They have a great write up on my home state’s largest town – Portland Oregon.

Here’s a quote about the weirdness of Portland:

Just a bunch of granola-crunching, Birkenstock-wearing libtards,” griped Sam Farston, a cattle rancher in Baker City

Since I started working in the Portland metro area a little over a year ago, I have to say yeah, Portland is weird. But it’s a quirky weirdness that keeps me coming back. Libtards and all!

Gmail Attachments

It’s the little things that happen over at Gmail that mean a lot.  Today over at the Google OS blog, they reported we now have the technology to upload multiple attachments when sending mail.

This has been an annoyance for me as long as I’ve been using gmail (the last 4 years).

Bravo Gmail! I have no more complaints.

A Time To Decorate

Last week found g and his family of g-lits making our yearly trip to the tree farm to harvest this years Christmas tree. As usual, much fun was had, Santa was visited, and hot chocolate was consumed.

Once we got the tree home, we set it up and also as usual, i was annoyed at not getting the tree “just right” according to SWMBO. After several attempts at making the tree plumb, I finally got the official nod that all was just right. Now it was the kids turn to take over and place the various trinkets and lighting on the branches of the tree.

As you may have noticed, I didn’t stop there. I decided my blog needed some decorations during the holiday. WordPress has something for every occasion.

On the news front, today is newsworthy because the first ever “face transplant” occured in Cleveland of all places (go tribe).

If you are looking for a good place to get hot off the press information, MUO has 21 of them for you to consider.
